Hi - I'm Mary and I am a Wisconsin Master Naturalist! Wisconsin Master Naturalist is a great program that builds a network of well-informed volunteers dedicated to conservation service within their communities. I wanted to do all that, but I live in a pretty rural area of Wisconsin. There are things going on here, but it was not simple for me to connect to all the opportunities in my own community. So I thought "Wouldn't it be nice to make a site where any nature lover could find organizations that want their help?" And Wild Paths Wisconsin was born! It was nurtured in collaboration by Becky Sapper and the Wisconsin Master Naturalist program.

Activities come in two flavors - Volunteer or Learning opportunities. They are sponsored by Organizations and they take place in Locations (some key words you will find in our site). If the location has an address, it will show up on a map. All activities have a way to get more information from the sponsoring organization: an information website, or an email. Some activities are online - like web-based training..
Keep your eye out for the FILTER button - that will let you target your view.

Currently the ability to browse our catalog of organizations and activities is open to the public.
Add Organization -use this menu item to submit a request to add your organization. Once that request is approved, you will receive an email that will let you create a login to manage this organization going forward. A new Organizer submenu will appear and you can use that to access the Organization Management page. Play this "Add Your Organization" video to see how it works.
From that page you can add locations, and activities as well as add other users to help you manage the organization going forward.
